
JOIN LIFT THIS SUMMER!
Outdoor adventure trips
This summer, LIFT is offering 12 outdoor all day adventure trips. Each trip will be a chance for adventure and new experiences for our students.
- A registration fee of $20 is required for each trip to help cover costs. This fee is non-refundable. A limited amount of scholarship funding is available. If needed, please call LIFT Youth Center to request this assistance and to sign-up.
- All students must be a Catoosa County middle or high school student and must be enrolled with LIFT for the 25-26 school year to register for Outdoor Adventure Trips.
- Additional waivers will be required for these trips and must be completed for participation.
- Please note the departure times from LIFT Youth Center when registering for each trip, we will not wait for late arrivals.
- If weather hinders the original trip plans we will be in touch with an alternative to consider.

Haig Mill

Haig Mill - kayaking/boat safety
We will travel to Haig Mill Lake where we will rent kayaks and float around the lake, and then enjoy the hiking loop trail. Students should arrive in closed-toe shoes and clothes suitable for hiking.

Cherokee Rock Village

Cherokee Rock Village - Rock Climbing
We will travel to Cherokee Rock Village outside Sandrock, AL, for a day of top rope climbing and exploring. This County Park is a beautiful place, with spectacular views and stunning scenery. We will use trained, experienced climbing guides to lead us in learning the basics of outdoor rock climbing.

Red Clay Resort

We will be staying at LIFT in the morning, and playing games in our backyard. Then, We will travel to Red Clay Resort for lunch, and a relaxing evening of swimming.

Nooga Splash & Chester Frost

We will be spending the day at Chester Frost park, and experiencing 'Nooga Splash: A floating obstacle course providing hours of high energy fun, where you can run, jump, bounce and splash! Please make sure to fill out the separate waiver from 'Nooga Splash included in the email after registration!

Ocoee River

Ocoee River - Swimming
We will travel to Copperhill, TN for a gorgeous day in the Cherokee National Forest. We will take a short hike in the morning on the Rhododendron Trail. After a lunch break, we will enjoy an afternoon of swimming in the Ocoee River.

Kayak Ringgold

South Chickamauga Creek - Kayaking
We will enjoy a float down the Ringgold Creek with kayaks provided by Kayak Ringgold. We will put in at the Canoe Launch at South Chickamauga creek and take out behind Ringgold High School.

Hiwasse River

Hiwasse River - White Water Paddling
We will travel to Reliance, TN to float 6 miles down the beautiful (and cold!) Hiwasee River in pairs using inflatable, two-person kayaks. Students must be able to swim to attend this trip.

J. Ozone Falls

Ozone Falls is a popular waterfall and state natural area located in Crab Orchard, Tennessee. It's known for its stunning 110-foot drop into a deep pool, which is a popular spot for swimming and wading. The area is easy to access and offers parking and hiking trails.

Rainbow Lake & Suck Creek

Rainbow Lake is a popular destination for hiking and exploring nature, located near Signal Mountain. It's known for its scenic trails, including a trail that leads to Middle Creek Falls, a stunning waterfall with a mist rainbow on sunny afternoons.

Ocoee River

Ocoee River - White water rafting
We will travel to Ocoee, TN to enjoy a white water rafting trip down the middle Ocoee River! On this trip, you’ll experience 5 miles of continuous class III and IV whitewater with over 17 major rapids. Exciting whitewater flows through a deep gorge in the National Forest, dropping 56 feet per mile.
